Blackberry Gin Fizz
A fresh summery spritz for warm summer days! Gin optional!
1/4 cup fresh blackberries
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup (4 liquid ounces or just shy of 3 shots) gin
1/4 cup fresh lime juice (from two juicy limes)
2 thin lime wedges (for garnish)
Puree the blackberries and sugar in a blender until liquified. Strain out the seeds using a fine mesh strainer.
Divide the blackberry puree between two tall glasses. Add half the lime juice and half the gin to each glass. Add ice and stir to chill. Add club soda or seltzer to taste. Garnish with lime wedges.
