The Easiest Brownies
Courtesy of Deb, these brownies are a cinch to make - one bowl only! Also toddler-friendly :)
3 ounces (85 grams) unsweetened chocolate, roughly chopped
1 stick (4 ounces or 115 grams) unsalted butter, plus extra for pan 1 cup (265 grams) granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt or 1/4 teaspoon table salt (about 2 grams) 2/3 cup (85 grams) all-purpose flour |
Preheat your oven to 350°. Grease two mini-muffin tins.
In a large-ish microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate together on medium in 30 second increments until the butter is melted. Whisk together to fully melt the chocolate. Whisk in the sugar, then the eggs, one at a time. Whisk in the vanilla and salt, then the flour. Pour roughly 1 level tablespoon in each mini-muffin cup. Bake for 25 minutes. Wait the bare minimum amount of time before snarfing these down with a glass of cold milk. |

Notes:
- I reduced the sugar by 1/3 cup, just to make my measuring life easier :)
- For my square vronie pan (not a regular 8x8), reduce cooking time to 20 minutes.
- For the life of me I can't figure out what I mean by vronie - brownie perhaps? Oh! I have a pan that has little 2" x 2" squares in it, I think that's what I meant.
