Make Ahead!
These recipes can all be made in advance, so you can grab things to eat on a busy weeknight, or prepare a feast for friends without frazzling yourself last minute!
Main Meals
Almost all soups can be made in bulk ahead of time, portioned into containers and then loaded into your freezer. Leave out any pasta to add in day-of, otherwise it'll turn to mush. Same for any crispy toppings/drizzles. Ditto for chilis. Bread Bread does pretty well in the freezer! For whole loaves, consider slicing them up before you freeze them, otherwise you'll have to defrost the entire load. Rolls are easy to partition into small groups and wrap in foil. To thaw, toss in a 350° oven for 12-15 minutes - the toaster oven works great for this! (Pssst pair this will some delicious soup from your freezer!) |
